The 4th of July is almost here! Children are always excited to watch the beautiful fireworks and dress up in red, white and blue. Celebrate the birth of our country by trying out some of these fun family activities!

Bake a treat! The 4th of July is a great time to bake cookies or cupcakes to take to a family celebration. Children will practice math skills by helping to measure all of the yummy ingredients.

Find a local festival or fireworks to go to on the 4th of July!

Have some fun art time! Take 3 loofas along with red, white, and blue paint and paper. Dab each loofa in a different color and place on paper to create paint fireworks! Add glitter to the print for a sparkle effect!

Look for a local parade in your town. Decorate your child’s wagon, bike or stroller in red, white and blue! Children will enjoy showing off their patriotic rides!

Patriotic sand! Dye sand red and blue. Layer the sand into mason jars and use as a decoration for the holiday. Clear plastic containers can also be used.

Happy 4th of July Everyone!
